International Press Corps

Letter from the Executive Board

Welcome to DBISMUN 2025, and more importantly, welcome to the International Press Corps, the heartbeat of this conference. We are the Executive Board of the IPC. While others will debate behind closed doors, it is you who will narrate the story of this conference. As IPC delegates at DBISMUN 2025, you have the responsibility of informing, questioning, exposing, and sometimes, even dismantling the truth.

Throughout the conference, you will attend committee sessions, conduct interviews, and chase crisis updates. You’re not here to sit quietly, you're here to observe critically, report fearlessly, and write boldly.

At DBISMUN, we’re looking for unbiased writers, critical thinkers, and writers with the hunger to uncover the truth. The IPC involves a mix of everything, your narrative skills, the way you present stories, the way you uncover facts, and your choice of picking the right people to question. All of these qualities are those which are present in every great journalist or reporter across history. At the IPC, you will get the opportunity to step into the shoes of journalists who enter war-torn regions and risk their lives to uncover the truth.

We, as your Executive Board, are incredibly excited to witness the newsroom come alive under your leadership. We’ll be here to guide you, support you, and push you to reach your highest potential. Yours sincerely, The Executive Board of the International Press Corps (IPC), Jemimah D'Souza and Riaan Rao
